This blanket is very soft. It is the right amount of warm --breathes nicely so it is perfect for cool summer nights.
If you wash this blanket as indicated by the instructions and manufacture it will never stop falling apart. I hope you like picking up lint, because that's exactly what you'll be doing each morning! It's not a little bit here and there. You will be covered, the floor & bed & you will be covered with lint pieces. Maybe I'm judging prematurely, but at this rate it doesn't appear it's going to stop shedding.
The smell of the blanket is quite strong when initially taken out of the package. Even if you decide not to wash at first, you will need to clean it eventually.
I would urge you to not be seduced by it's perceived quality. The bad sucks away any enjoyment from the blanket. Maybe a dry-clean only wool blanket is better. Do yourself a favor and go to Macy's and get a better blanket for less cost.

This one is a deal. Lightweight and warm. Seems to be holding up well. And it does not "move around" on the bed. Good product at a good price!

Love this blanket! It is soft and plush, lightweight yet warm. I got one for our over-size pillow-top queen bed (and it fits just fine), and liked it so much I got another for our king bed. After reading the other reviewer's comment about washing it, I'm a little afraid to wash it until I see if anyone else experiences the same problem. It smells and feels clean right out of the package, though, so I don't feel any urgent need to wash it. It is specifically made to be washable, so I don't know what to expect in light of that other review.
